So you've had a baby recently. And it's not at all what you thought it would be. The isolation during Covid-19 has made it impossible for your partner to attend most prenatal appointments and now that your baby is finally here the isolation continues. You can't have family and friends come by to visit like you had always imagined and so you are stuck at home, 24/7, taking care of a new born. You are feeling depressed, worried, and disappointed that you can't find the joy that so many mothers brag about. You might be suffering from a Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (commonly known as Postpartum).
Did you know that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men have Postpartum? So you are not alone, even though you feel like you might be. I am here to help you and walk through this with you. As a mother myself I know what this feels like. Our therapy will feel like a warm and comforting conversation with an old friend who happens to be a therapist.
My approach is gentle and empathic. You will only get parenting advice if you ask for it and we will work as a team to find a lifestyle that works best for you and your growing family. Our sessions are done via video calls so your baby can nap or nurse throughout our sessions without you having to leave the comfort of your home.
